Water network, pipeline network... The investment scale for the construction of the "six networks" and related key areas this year has exceeded 7 trillion yuan

According to preliminary estimates by the National Development and Reform Commission, the investment scale for the construction of the "six networks" and related key areas this year exceeds 7 trillion yuan. From the central top-level deployment to the trillion-level capital investment, the construction of the "six networks" is progressing from individual nodes, connecting them into lines, and densely weaving them into a network.

The "six networks" encompass a water network, a new-type power grid, a computing power network, a new-generation communication network, an urban underground pipeline network, and a logistics network. The planning and deployment of these "six networks" not only cover the upgrading of traditional infrastructure but also include the construction of new-type infrastructure.

The total investment in the "six networks" and related fields this year is expected to exceed 7 trillion yuan.

During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period,

· The investment in national water network construction will exceed 6 trillion yuan, creating over 3 million new job opportunities.

· The investment in the new power grid will exceed 5 trillion yuan, driving the total scale of upstream and downstream industries to exceed 10 trillion yuan. The infrastructure investment related to the new power grid can directly create over one million job opportunities.

· The computing power network is accelerating its expansion, ushering in a trillion-level investment cycle.

· Approximately 770,000 kilometers of underground pipeline networks will be constructed and renovated nationwide, driving investment of about 5 trillion yuan, leveraging GDP of about 7.5 trillion to 10 trillion yuan, and creating an average of about 2.8 million jobs per year.

· 500,000 5G-A base stations will be built. According to estimates, in the next five years, the new generation of communication networks is expected to drive a total output of about 7 trillion yuan for upstream and downstream industries, boost GDP growth by about 1.5 percentage points, and directly create over one million jobs.

By the end of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period,

· The completion rate of the main framework of China's comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network will reach 95%, further reducing the logistics cost of the whole society.
